The idea to give birth to a girl-band was born during the New Year's Eve 2010, thanks to the great passion to play together of the two creators of the band: Jessica Lynn Nicholls (vocals, 1983) and Manuela Sturzenegger (drums, 1981).
The creation of a girl-band is not easy at first because it is not evident to find girls who play instruments, especially in a small town like Lugano (Ticino - Switzerland).
In October 2010 Jessica and Manuela find Barbora Jurickova (bass, 1983) and shortly thereafter...

In October 2010 Jessica and Manuela find Barbora Jurickova (bass, 1983) and shortly thereafter, in December 2010, also Laura Ferrario joins the band (guitar, 1978).
"Ivyseed", the name of the band, therefore, comes to life in January 2011 and since then the various tastes and genres, ranging from grunge to alternative rock and pop-rock, melodic rock are interwoven into a rhythm but , punctuated by notes to all women.
Ivyseed (The seed of the ivy plant) comes from the concept that from a tiny seed of a plant strong and intrusive like the ivy (band of 4 musicians with the determination and the desire to play), music can weave, infiltrate and climb everywhere, seemingly quiet yet energetic, tenacious and resilient.
