Founded in the end of 2008, Godspell is a metal band from Adliswil, Switzerland, originally formed as a metal project by guitarist Oliver Corrodi and drummer Nahuel Alegre. Michael Pfister has taken over vocals later on and bassist Daniel Meier was replaced by Merlin Mattheeuws. In february 2009, Cyrill Fehr completed the band as the second guitarist. Our first songs were heavily influenced by Florida Death Metal artists, while the newer ones are far more complex and Progressive Metal-orientated. ...

Michael Pfister has taken over vocals later on and bassist Daniel Meier was replaced by Merlin Mattheeuws. In february 2009, Cyrill Fehr completed the band as the second guitarist. Our first songs were heavily influenced by Florida Death Metal artists, while the newer ones are far more complex and Progressive Metal-orientated. As a whole, Godspell does Progressive Death Metal influenced by Groove Metal with complex song structures and rhythms. But one thing is for sure, we don't want to limit ourselves to a specific kind of metal. We rather experiment with our tunes and make sure every new song sounds new and that it'll kick your ass.

In 2010, we released our first EP "No Noise Can Mute Us Now" that was recorded in Oliver Corrodi's Bedroom. Now, we have our own studio and we'll record and release our debut album with brand new songs during 2011.
