Bio - English:
Pertness, the name of two voices, two guitars, a bass and drum playing since 1992 in the Bernese Highlands straight, melodious Heavy Metal. The band not only distinguishes itself for singable lines but exactly measured riffs, impressive guitar themes and rhythm as well.

1998 the demo CD “Pertness” was recorded and sold over the national border as well. First class, fast and melodious power-metal-songs like “Heavy Metal”, “Rising Sun” and “Symphonies of Death” which made Pertness opening acts for Savatage, Metal Church, Warhead, Shakra, Crystal Ball, Spiral Tower and Excelsis.

The fans had to wait for the second CD “Seven times eternity” a little longer because studies, education and other circumstances let music move a little more into background. But the four never let go of their dream for an own recording studio. The result is worth hearing. “Seven times eternity” finally got published in 2008 worldwide over the label Karthago Records. The CD was sold very well despite the band’s long absence. With that CD the band was on many great festivals like Back to Rock Festival, Rocktoberfest, Rock im Zelt – Frankenfels, Heavy X-mas. National and international they played with bands like Grallknights, Déjà vu, Finsterforst, Lunatica, Exelsis, Chinchilla, Hatred Custard, Emerald and many more.

In April 2010 the band releases their new album “From the Beginning to the End”, again with the German label Karthago Records, worldwide. For the cover artwork Georg Huber was won over again he drew a continuation of “Seven times eternity”. The band continued training in their music style and is ready with different influences. Live Pertness is always in action – soaked in sweat – dressed in Scot skirts – presenting their visitors a lot.
