The band Scorched Soul was formed in the beginning of 2006 by Florian (drums), Adrian (guitar/vocals) and Daniel (guitar) in Laufen/Switzerland. At first, they didn't want to be a band but just play together to learn playing their new instruments.

Eventually they decided to start a "real" band. When Florian's brother Matthias (bass) joined the band in early 2007 they had a complete line-up and began to write their first melodic death metal songs.

In spring 2008 five songs were recorded...

Because Adrian was studying abroad for about half a year, the band paused from mid 2008 till early 2009.

During May 2009 the band started to record a new demo, which should be finished in summer 2009.

Die Band Scorched Soul wurde Anfang 2006 von Florian (Drums), Adrian (Gitarre/Vocals) und Daniel (Gitarre) in Laufen/BL gegründet. Zu Beginn ging es den dreien weniger darum eine Band zu sein und Songs zu schreiben als darum die gerade erst erworbenen Instrumente zu erlernen.

Im Laufe der Zeit kam jedoch die Idee auf eine richtige Band zu bilden. Mit dem Einstieg von Florians Bruder Matthias (Bass) zu Beginn des Jahres 2007 wurde Scorched Soul zu einer kompletten Band, die von ihm auch gleich noch den Namen erhielt. Schon die ersten Songs zeigten die musikalische Richtung auf: Melodischen Death Metal.

Im Frühling 2008 wurden fünf Songs im Proberaum aufgenommen und unter dem Namen "Day of Retribution: Demo 2008" veröffentlicht.

Aufgrund eines rund halbjährigen Auslandaufenthaltes von Adrian lief in der Band von Mitte 2008 bis Anfang 2009 nur wenig.

Anfang Sommer 2009 wurde jedoch mit den Aufnahmen für ein neues Demo begonnen, welches im Laufe des Sommers fertiggestellt werden dürfte.
